Champagne Pierre Péters - Grand Cru Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs
The Pierre Péters estate, situated in the heart of the Côte des Blancs in the village of Le Mesnil sur Oger, has been a family house for six generations and has produced Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagnes since 1919. They do everything possible to express the chalky soil of their great terroirs as passionate craftsmen.
A champagne grower-producer, their wines come exclusively from their own vineyards. This house currently operates just over 19 hectares of Chardonnay, mainly located in the communes of Le Mesnil sur Oger, Oger, Avize and Cramant.
Pierre Péters has developed over time its own process for the selection of grapes that come from vines that are 30 years old on average. Harvest is done by hand and carefully transported to the press, where very slow pressing takes place. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks that are temperature controlled. Wines are aged on the lees and tasted regularly in order to develop the tasting profiles for blending the various crus and vintages.
